Yoga allows me the space to get to know myself. On top of knowing my body’s capabilities, it allows me to respect my body and nurture it. Other than having time for myself, I love that the practice also brings people together in a shared experience.
What do you love most about teaching yoga?
Teaching yoga allows me to share the practice with many people, especially to those who are new to it. It is a privilege to be able to hold space for people to get to know their own bodies and minds. Other than that, it also just feels great to see people feel better after they take class!
What is the most valuable lesson you learned in teacher training?
After 4 years of teaching, I continue to realize that taking care of myself is just as important as serving my students. Teaching is also a very internal exercise: our mentors make this clear by allowing us to continue discovering our unique strengths so that we can better nurture our students’ practices.
What did you enjoy most about teacher training?
There’s no single thing that I like because there are many! It goes without saying that meeting such a diverse group of yogis was one of them. But other than that, I like that the Align&Refine team made learning FUN!

What people love about Margaux’s teaching
Her nurturing spirit shines through well thought-out, deliberate cues.
Clear, intelligent, calm. Her precise instructions allow me to understand what I need to do in class.
Margaux is determined to play with the knowledge she gained, and it shows in the classes that she teaches in the studio. I’ve been a regular student of Margaux and I’m excited to see how she will up her teaching game.
Margaux has a gorgeous energy, which she directs towards a well-considered teaching style, which brings out her genuine kindness as a person.
